Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data needed to run Soliau, we don't sell it, and we don't train our AI on your conversations. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what control you have.
01 — What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your email address, age confirmation, and any profile details you choose to share (display name, avatar, bio). When you use the app, we collect what you post, what you message, and minimal device/usage signals (device type, app version, crash reports) needed to operate the service.
02 — How we use it
- To run the service — show you posts, route DMs, generate AI character responses.
- To keep the platform safe — moderate content, detect abuse, enforce age requirements.
- To improve the product — measure feature usage, fix bugs, prioritize what to build next.
- To communicate with you — service notifications, security alerts, occasional product updates (which you can disable).
03 — Who we share with
We share data with a small number of vendors who help us run Soliau — cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors, push notification delivery, customer support tooling. Each is bound by contract to use data only for the purpose we authorize. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose data when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect the safety of users — but we push back on overly broad requests and will notify users where legally permitted.
04 — Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can do most of these directly from Settings → Account. For anything not available in-app, email privacy@soliau.ai.
05 — Data retention
Active account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, content is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, transaction records or moderation logs related to abuse investigations).
06 — Security
We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest where technically feasible. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized engineers and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat protecting your data as a baseline operating requirement.
07 — International transfers
Soliau is operated globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where transfers occur, we use legally recognized safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
08 — Children
Soliau is 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used Soliau, contact privacy@soliau.ai and we will close the account and delete the data.
09 — Changes
When we make material changes to this Policy, we notify users at least 14 days before changes take effect. The "last reviewed" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
